When a custom replacement makes sense
A flat custom gasket can be a practical option when the correct catalog part is discontinued, backordered, unidentified, or no longer matches an altered component. The strongest projects have a flat sealing surface and enough reliable evidence to locate every outside edge, opening, hole, and slot.
Old gasket available
Scan or photograph it square, then confirm scale with direct measurements from the part.
Only the mating surface remains
Photograph the clean face overhead and record outside size, hole centers, and openings directly.
Service drawing available
Upload the full drawing with dimensions, units, revision, and the exact view clearly identified.
Simple geometry
Build circles, rectangles, ovals, rings, rounded covers, and bolt patterns directly in the designer.
The information that prevents expensive mistakes
- Equipment manufacturer, model, model year, and the exact component.
- Overall width and height or outside diameter.
- At least one independent scale measurement on every uploaded image.
- Hole diameters, center-to-center distances, slots, passages, and edge distances.
- Which face is shown and the top, bottom, front, or rotation direction.
- Original thickness plus any evidence that the removed part was compressed.
- Fluid, temperature, pressure or vacuum, weather exposure, and applicable equipment requirements.
From old part to finished gasket
Capture
Clean and flatten the old part, photograph or scan it square, and record known dimensions.
Build or upload
Create the design online or place a supported drawing behind editable gasket geometry.
Approve the proof
Compare every edge and opening to the machine before the approved design enters production.
What affects the price?
The online estimate responds to material, thickness, finished area, total cut length, the number and complexity of openings, quantity, setup, and rush selection. Designs inside the online size and material limits can proceed to secure checkout; shipping is shown separately.
Projects that need a different solution
We do not present a flat custom gasket as a substitute for a molded seal, metal-reinforced or multilayer head gasket, fire ring, spiral-wound gasket, regulated safety component, or another engineered assembly. When the joint or evidence is uncertain, verify the requirement with the equipment manufacturer or a qualified professional.
